People are precious metals, like the metals gold and silver. The best of them in the pre-Islamic period are the best of them in Islam, if they understand. «النَّاسُ مَعَادِن كَمَعَادِن الذَّهَب وَالفِضَّة، خِيَارُهُم فِي الجَاهِلِيَّة خِيَارُهُم فِي الإِسْلاَم إِذَا فَقُهُوا، والأَرْوَاحُ جُنُودٌ مُجَنَّدَة، فَمَا تَعَارَفَ مِنْهَا ائتَلَفَ، وَمَا تَنَاكَرَ مِنْهَا اخْتَلَفَ». [متفق عليه]
