Ibn ‘Abbās (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said to Jibrīl: What makes you not visit us more than you do? Thereupon, the following verse was revealed: {And we [angels] descend not except by the order of your Lord. To Him belongs what is before us and what is behind us and what is in between.} [Maryam: 64] [Sahih/Authentic] - [Al-Bukhari]

قال النبي -صلى الله عليه وسلم- لجبريل: «مَا يَمْنَعُك أَنْ تَزُورَنَا أَكْثَر مِمَّا تَزُورَنَا؟» فنزلت: (وَمَا نَتَنَزَّل إِلاَّ بِأَمْرِ رَبِّكَ لَهُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيدِينَا وَمَا خَلْفَنَا وَمَا بَينَ ذَلِك ). [صحيح.] - [رواه البخاري.]
